Spring Community Work Day
Neighbors Helping Neighbors — Building a Stronger Community Together
United Way is excited to launch our Spring Residential Community Work Day, a new initiative designed to support community members who could use an extra hand with outdoor or exterior home projects. On this special day of service, volunteers will come together to complete projects that help improve safety, accessibility, and quality of life for local residents.
Whether it’s yard clean-up, debris removal, small tree or limb removal, exterior painting, flower bed care, fence repair, or other non-structural outdoor tasks, our goal is simple: lend a hand where it’s needed most.
Nominate a Neighbor in Need
Do you know someone who could benefit from help with outdoor home projects?
We invite you to nominate a friend, neighbor, family member, or community member who may need assistance.
We are especially looking to serve households that are:
-
Elderly
-
Disabled
-
Lower income
-
ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed)
-
Experiencing hardship
Please provide as much information as possible to help our team review nominations and match projects with volunteers.

Why This Matters
Many neighbors in our community struggle with physical limitations, financial challenges, or unexpected setbacks. Simple outdoor maintenance can quickly become overwhelming. By stepping in to help, we create safer homes, build supportive relationships, and strengthen our community as a whole.
Together, we can show what it truly means to be UNITED FOR ALL.
