What motivates you to serve on the board of United Way of Reno County?

What motivates me to serve on the board of UWRC is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community by supporting programs and initiatives that improve lives.

What’s one local cause or issue in Reno County that you're particularly passionate about?

There are so many great causes in Reno County, but one I am passionate about is investing in our youth. I’m motivated by the work being done to break down barriers and create pathways for youth to thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially. With challenges like poverty, limited access to early learning, mental health concerns, and uneven opportunities after graduation, it’s critical that we come together to provide resources and support that help every child and young adult reach their full potential.

What do you believe is the biggest impact that United Way can have in our community?

I believe the biggest impact United Way can have in our community is improving lives by addressing the root causes of challenges and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.

What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday in Reno County?

My favorite way to spend a Saturday is with my family. In the fall, it is football, and in the summer, we spend a lot of time fishing, shopping downtown, or just hanging out in Hutch.

What’s a moment or experience during your time with United Way that has left a lasting impression on you?

I’ve had the privilege of participating in United Way workdays for many years, and each time I’m amazed by the incredible impact our community creates and the dedication of volunteers who truly make a difference.

How do you like to give back to your community outside of your role with United Way?

I like to give back by contributing both my time and financial resources, and by getting involved in different organizations that make a positive impact. Volunteering allows me to connect directly with the community, while financial contributions help sustain programs that improve lives.
