United Way of Reno County Releases Annual Report Celebrating a Year of Community Impact
At United Way of Reno County, we believe in the power of community—your power—to create meaningful, lasting change.
Our newly released 2025 Annual Report reflects on a year filled with connection, collaboration, and collective impact. Guided by our mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities, United Way focuses on four key areas that help build a stronger foundation for all: Youth Opportunity, Healthy Communities, Financial Stability, and Community Resiliency.
Investing in Local Nonprofits
Thanks to the generosity of local donors and supporters, United Way invested $850,000 into 33 vital programs across 21 trusted nonprofit partners this past year. These programs are meeting critical needs—from food and housing assistance to youth mentoring and health services—and changing lives every single day in Reno County.
Providing Direct Support
Beyond funding local agencies, United Way provides direct support through internal programs that connect individuals and families to the help they need.
-
Reno Connections linked hundreds of people to local resources for housing, employment, food assistance, and more.
-
Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, more than 2,000 children received over 24,000 free books, inspiring a lifelong love of reading.
-
Partnerships expanded access to mental health care and prescription savings, helping ensure neighbors can live healthier, more stable lives.
Building Long-Term Solutions
Creating lasting change takes more than meeting today’s needs—it requires working together on the root causes of our community’s toughest challenges.
Through collaboration and advocacy, United Way helped secure $6.2 million in ARPA funding for childcare and $900,000 for early education initiatives in Reno County. By leading coalitions and convening partners, we’re tackling big issues like childcare access, mental health, and family supports—building a more resilient community for generations to come.
A Community of Care
“Our impact isn’t just measured in numbers—it’s measured in lives changed,” said Lacey Mills, UWRC CEO. “Together with our partners, donors, and volunteers, we’re building a stronger, more supportive Reno County where no one has to face life’s challenges alone.”
United Way of Reno County is proud to stand alongside local nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, and neighbors who show up, give back, and care deeply.
