What is your current role at United Way of Reno County, and what are your primary responsibilities?
Operations and Communications Coordinator
What previous work experiences have shaped your career, and how did they lead you to United Way?
I spent eight years with my previous organization, beginning as a summer intern and working my way up to Administrative Services Manager. That experience gave me the opportunity to grow and develop a passion for supporting mission-driven work.
While I wasn't actively looking for a career change, the opportunity to join United Way came along. From the very beginning, I had an overwhelming sense of peace that this was where I was meant to be. It was the right opportunity to continue growing while making a meaningful impact in our community.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work, and what activities do you enjoy with your family?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and family. We love being outdoors, playing board games, and taking road trips to explore new places together. I'm also looking forward to married life and the new chapter that comes with it.
What hobbies or interests do you have that help you maintain a work-life balance?
I enjoy taking pictures of the places we travel, watching football with my family, playing fantasy football with my cousins, and curling up on the couch with the people I care about most. It's a mix of adventure, competition, and quality time that helps me recharge outside of work.
What is one lesson you've learned throughout your career that you apply to your work at United Way?
I enjoy working for organizations that care about people. It's rewarding to be part of a team that's focused on helping others, and it's meaningful to know the work we do makes a difference in our community.
